In the current post-truth era heading towards a post-pandemic stage but still facing the climate-crisis, the polarised discussion has escalated into hate speech, increased and radicalized in both virtual and physical forms.

Considering this scenario Liisi Soroush & I attended the Digital Literature Hackathon organised by the Digitaalinen kirjallisuus. In the hackathon, we conceptualize the idea of transforming the hate of the internet into poetry of love using Artificial Intelligence.

Besides the artistic process in human-machine collaboration, our goal is to give birth to the language of the future. The creativity of AI is an important mission in various disciplines. Much like the sense of humour, poetry is regarded as one of the most extraordinary human characteristics that also works at a subconscious level. Therefore choosing poetry as a tool to formulate the future of the language is a carefully chosen method. In the eyes of the jury, our concept was a “brutal, beautiful, futuristic project”. It being chosen allowed us to create a prototype of the project which is accessible here: https://poesai.xyz/
